Buford had never been to the beach before, and his wife Trini thought it was high time for a change. A weekend getaway to Ocean City seemed like the perfect opportunity for them to escape the hustle and bustle of their daily lives. But as a zombie, Buford had a secret to keep, one that could jeopardize their relationship and plunge them both into terror.

Arriving at Ocean City, the smell of the sea and the sound of crashing waves filled the air. As Buford gorged himself on the gruesome find, he heard footsteps approaching. Panicked, he quickly hid the evidence and tried to clean up. To his horror, he saw Jake entering the hut, carrying a fresh arm from a recent kill. The two men locked eyes, each realizing the other’s dark secret.

Buford and Jake retreated to the back of the beach hut, where they shared their stories of how they were turned into zombies. Buford told Jake about the fateful night at the chemical facility. Meanwhile, Jake shared his own horrifying transformation during a science camp trip gone awry.

Having found solace in their shared curse, Buford struck a deal with Jake: he’d keep their secret if Jake agreed to help him find a way to control his hunger so that he could protect Trini from the truth, Jake agreed.

The rest of the weekend went by without incident, and Buford managed to keep his secret hidden from Trini. However, as they prepared to leave, Trini discovered the beach hut and the horrific stash of body parts. Buford had no choice but to confess his true nature and the sinister secret of their new friend Jake.

To his surprise, Trini revealed that Lila told her early on about Jake’s situation, both of them laugh it out and drove back home.
